CSC - Resource efficiency and conservation

In accordance with the Responsible Aggregate Standard (Version 3.0) Principle 6-Core Requirement 6.2, the operational resources and waste (with baselines) for the Dufferin Aggregates Paris Pit are stated below:

Dufferin Aggregates Paris Pit Resource Inputs - Baselines
Input Unit Baseline
Gasoline l/tonne 0.01
Diesel l/tonne 0.40
Propane l/tonne 0.00
Electricity kWh/tonne 0.08
Water m3/tonne 0.01

Dufferin Aggregates Paris Pit Operational Waste - Greenhouse Gas Baselines
Greenhouse Gases Baseline (tonnes/tonnes)
CO2  0.00109366
CH4  0.00000008
N2O  0.00000016

Our target is to not exceed our baseline and/or try to improve on it. Right now our baseline is a rolling two year average; it is not reflective of normal operating procedures as washing of material did not take place during this time. The next two years of production will be more indicative of normal operations at the site, as such the baseline will be updated and adjusted to reflect this. Dufferin continually replaces equipment (e.g. loaders, rock trucks, and other petroleum vehicles) which are more efficient. We will review our baseline and targets on an annual basis.
